What Our Customers Think
Why We Love Floral Park, NY
About Floral Park
Floral Park, New York, is a village in Nassau County, on Long Island. The area that is now Floral Park once marked the western edge of the great Hempstead Plains and was called Plainfield. In the 1870s, John Lewis Childs arrived in the area to work for C.L. Allen as a seed seller. After building his own seed and bulb business, Childs bought a great deal of land in the area. In appreciation of Childs’ work in the community, residents agreed to change the name from Plainfield to Floral Park. The village was incorporated in 1908.
