What Our Customers Think
Why We Love Bethpage, NY
About Bethpage
Bethpage is a hamlet located within the Town of Oyster Bay in Nassau County, New York, United States. The history of Bethpage dates back to the 1600s when Thomas Powell purchased about 15 square miles from local Native American tribes in 1695, which is now known as the Bethpage Purchase. The name ‘Bethpage’ comes from the Quaker Thomas Powell, who named the area after the Biblical town Bethphage. In the 19th century, the town was largely agricultural, but it began to industrialize in the 20th century, particularly during World War II when the Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation, now known as Northrop Grumman, was located in Bethpage. The area has continued to grow and develop throughout the 20th and 21st centuries.
